The HEIZOTRUCK, built on the Mercedes Arocs 2051 4x4 platform, is a purpose-engineered forestry and agricultural power unit designed for demanding operations across New Zealand and Australia. At its core is a 510 hp (375 kW) engine delivering up to 3,800 Nm of torque at the PTO, providing serious drive power for high-capacity wood chippers, biomass processing systems, and heavy hydraulic applications.

Unlike conventional tractor setups, the Heizotruck combines true off-road 4x4 capability with integrated load-sensing hydraulics (220 l/min), professional PTO performance, and full road transport efficiency in one platform. Whether operating on skid sites, forest landings, farm tracks, or highway haul routes, it delivers the flexibility, safety, and operator comfort required for modern contracting environments.

  • The Heizohack HM 10-860 KF is a large-format crane-fed industrial drum chipper built for serious forestry contractors, biomass producers and land clearing operations. With a 690mm chipping drum and 877mm infeed width, it processes whole trees, large logs and heavy forestry slash at sustained high output. Built in Bavaria, Germany.

  • The HM 10-860 KF has a larger chipping drum — 690mm versus 500mm on the HM 10-500 — and weighs 9,600kg versus 8,500kg. The larger drum and increased flywheel mass deliver higher throughput capacity, making the 10-860 suited to larger-scale forestry, land clearing and biomass operations. Both machines share the same crane-fed configuration and German build quality.

  • Yes — ALFA Equipment currently has two Heizohack HM 10-860 KF machines available for immediate dispatch from Germany. One is brand new, one is a factory ex-demo machine. Both are genuine manufacturer machines. ALFA Equipment is the exclusive authorised Heizohack distributor for New Zealand and Australia.

  • The HM 10-860 is available in two configurations. The KF (crane-fed) is fed by an external crane — such as a PALMS forestry crane mounted on your tractor using a JAKE system. This suits operators who already run a tractor crane setup or want the flexibility of the complete PALMS + JAKE + Heizohack integrated system.

    The KTL includes an integrated loading crane mounted directly on the machine's drawbar, making it a self-contained unit without needing a separate tractor-mounted crane. The KTL is heavier at approximately 13,200kg due to the integrated crane versus 9,600kg for the KF.

  • Heizohack wood chippers are designed for large-scale processing, with infeed capacities up to 800mm depending on the model. They are built to handle whole trees, oversized timber and high-volume material.

  • For high-volume commercial work, yes. Drum chippers have a wider infeed throat, handle irregular and forked material more easily, and deliver higher throughput than disc chippers of equivalent power. Disc chippers suit arborist work where chip uniformity matters. For forestry, land clearing and biomass production at scale, a drum chipper is the right tool.

  • A drum chipper uses a large rotating steel drum with blades bolted to its outer surface — as the drum spins it pulls material in and chips it against a stationary anvil.
